Rewiring Teaching: What Neuroscience Can Teach Us About Teacher Development
with Andreia Fernandes
About this session
Teacher development is more than learning new techniques. It is also about understanding our teaching habits and learning how to change them. In this session, we will explore how concepts from neuroscience, such as neuroplasticity, attention, memory, and habit formation, can help us understand how teachers learn and develop. Through practical ELT examples, we will connect these ideas to everyday classroom practices and explore how reflection, feedback, and deliberate practice can lead to meaningful professional growth.
